Restylane® Uses
It can be personally trying to see signs of aging on the face. It can be even harder to conceal facial aging. What Is Restylane® Dermal Filler?
Restylane® works by adding volume and fullness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid contained within Restylane® binds to water molecules. The binding action of the hyaluronic acid gives Restylane® a gel-like consistency. The gel-like consistency of Restylane® fills out and smooths wrinkles and folds in the face.
Facial Rejuvenation in Minutes!
One of the advantages of Restylane® dermal fillers is that the treatment can be performed within a matter of minutes. Restylane® treatment is performed during a visit to the plastic surgeon. The entire treatment will take 10 to 30 minutes to complete. The needle used during Restylane® treatment is so tiny that the majority of patients experience little to no discomfort. To further minimize discomfort, a local anesthetic may be used to numb the area to be treated. Some patients find this step to be unnecessary. After Restylane® has been injected into the skin, patients are able to return to their normal day-to-day activities.
Wrinkles and Folds
Restylane® is designed to fill out the moderate to severe wrinkles and folds found on the face:
- Lines and wrinkles that extend down from the corners of the mouth to the jawline
- Lines and wrinkles that extend down from the nose to the corners of the mouth
- Lines and wrinkles between the nose and upper lip
- Lines and wrinkles at the corners of the mouth
The results achieved with Restylane® treatment may last up to 18 months. To maximize results, patients may undergo treatment four to nine months following their initial Restylane® treatment. Results are immediate. Instantly following treatment, a patient can expect to see a smoother, fuller, and more youthful looking facial appearance.
Lip Enhancement
For patients that are over the age of 21 and are unhappy with the appearance of their lips, Restylane® treatment may be the answer. Restylane® treatment can address lips that appear disproportionate, lips that lack definition, and lips that lack fullness. By adding fullness and volume to the lips with Restylane® injections, patients can achieve the full, sultry lips they desire.
